Fundraising Ideas

No other property item in the church is more effective for fund raising than the stained glass window. A possible challenger is a pipe organ. If organized properly, your campaign should experience little difficulty in raising the necessary funds.

The most common way of raising money is to take the window-by-window costs for restoration/protection/insulation and place those figures physically on each of the windows. Then challenge the congregation to "fund a window". A large poster with individual windows detailed is also a possible tool.

Many stained glass windows are given as memorials. Often churches get in contact with family members to ask their assistance in restoring, protecting and insulating a window dedicated to the memory of someone they cherished.

One small congregation in Ohio made and sold 2,700 clown dolls to raise the funds for their window project. When you discuss the various methods among your leadership, the method most suitable for your needs will emerge. You might even be surprised how easily the process goes.
